Not very inspiring but well laid out and loads of photos.This makes a good gift for newly engaged or married couples with basic cooking skills andVaried amounts of time. Nothing exceptionally difficult and quite a few dishes that may alreadyBe familiar. This is better than the previously published Silver Spoon because of a cleaner, moreContemporary look.

I have well over 150 cookbooks and Eataly is one that I'll be donating to a used book store. Most recipes are devoid of the use of fresh herbs or any spices. But the recipe for Osso Buco is ridiculous. As anyone who has ever prepared this classic dish understands, veal shanks are the protein that should be used. That said, you can substitute beef shanks but it is completely impossible to produce tender, succulent shanks by browning them for 3 minutes, then simmering in wine for a few more minutes and then braising in stock for another 5 minutes. They would be inedible. I would not recommend this book. Another example - the Vegetable Minestrone recipe calls for zero herbs, spices, pepper or ingredient to render flavor or umami. Lots of good Italian cookbooks out there - this is not one of them.

I bought this book because a friend has made several dinners from the recipes in his copy of Eataly and all were delicious.I love the easy, healthy and gourmet recipes that impress anyone who tastes them.It’s a beautiful and healthy eating.

My husband loves this book. The recipes are clear, and the full-color pictures are gorgeous! This is a 2nd order of Eataly because our daughter-in-law now requested it for a Christmas present.

This is a wonderful tome on Italian cuisine and the general lifestyle. The book is beautiful and we look forward to having the restaurant here at some point !
