I read the second book by Mr. Conrella first, titled Zonzo. Both books are picture books entirely, with no narrative blocks, nor thought balloons nor uttered words. Most of the tales (tales?) are six panels, though a few are four and at there are a couple of one panel illustrations. A viewing of this book makes more sense if one considers the quote on the back cover:"Perhaps I know why it is man alone who laughs; he alone suffers so deeply that he had to invent laughter." - NietzsheMr. Conrella makes light of horrible situations. What is disturbing and sometimes funny is the happy expressions on peoples' faces during or after the horrors.

Joan Cornella’s surreal comic strips are a weirdgasm you may never recover from. I consider myself a connoisseur of the twisted, but even I was left wondering, “What the hell was wrong with this person?”Every frame is exquisite. It’s humor at its darkest and art at its most hilarious.

Bought as a present for a friend, along with another, who was unfamiliar with the artist. The quality of the book is very high. Nice gauge paper, bright and rich printing. Though one of the things that make the book unique is the lack of a proper spine on the book. I look forward to the artists next releases!

I love this book, and all of Joan Cornella's artwork. However, I was really disappointed at the care the product was shown. The book arrived with indentations in the cover like it had been thrown around and poorly handled during shipping.

You gotta love dark radical and often absurd humor to enjoy Cornella'. I fortunately do and I love every page and every panel. This has a permanent home on my coffee table and is a great conversation starter.

Great for the coffee table. Most common words said out loud while viewing these books: "wtf hahaha"

This was a Valentine's Day gift. I was really happy with the price and the overall quality. I'm a tactile person, so the paper texture is very important to me. This is a cool book for Joan Cornellà fans or a nice surprise for those who don't know him yet and are just fans of comic art.
