Loved it (except for the small print) so much I bought two more books by this team. It covers Designers A-Z, and features a Timeline) I use the book for reference. Its s a great for memory jogging--oh yeah I remember that chair! Such a reasonable price the book is worth buying just for the nostalgia. So many more out there with less information and a lot more money.

I originally purchased this for a Modern Design class for college and ended up flipping through it for other classes! Its a small and chunky encyclopedia of many modern designers and I found the quick sections on each artist enjoyable and a good starting point to get some background on them. I've enjoyed flipping through this book and have found it very useful over the course of my studies

Whether you're an interior, industrial or other sort of designer, an architect, or simply a design conoisseur, this book will help answer almost all your questions about designers, design houses, movements, etc. In addition to this (definitions, biographies, etc.) you'll find an abundance of very good pictures that go with most of the entries, that illustrate them very well.The only reason I give it four stars is because some topics it seems to cover with lots of detail (a good example is "Herman Miller") while others are left with a few lines. Yes: Herman Miller is a huge name in furniture design, but that doesn't make Gaudi, for example, any smaller.

Execellent resource book from Taschen covering design from the Bauhaus to Eames era and beyond...All your favorite modern masterpieces shown..Great resource book and well worth adding to your Modern Library...Everything you would expect from Taschen for a GREAT price..

A great great value for money. I bought lots of taschen books back in Paris and this one's quality is just as any taschen art books. It's such a nice reference book to have with very nice pick of pictures, yet it only costs 15$. Incredible.

This is a really cool compendium of art and artists from the 20th century and it's a VERY SMALL BOOK. It's like a 5" x 8" book so make sure you check that!
